When Words Become Reflections
There are things we feel long before we understand them.
A poem can give those feelings shape.
It can take something uncertain and make it visible.
Something forgotten and bring it back.
Something painful and make it bearable.
Something ordinary and reveal its beauty.
This is one of the possibilities of poetry:
To transform experience into reflection.
Not by changing what happened, but by allowing us to see it differently.
A poem can be a mirror.
Not because it tells us exactly who we are, but because it gives us a place in which to recognize ourselves.
